Arundel & Ladbroke Gardens

The Taming of the Shrew

7pm, Tuesday 17th June

Arundel & Ladbroke Gardens, W11

We are delighted to announce that we will be back this summer to celebrate our eighth anniversary with a new production of The Taming of the Shrew, a battle of wits, wills and wild romance complete with toe-tapping pop classics.

The production will be directed by Toby Gordon.

Entry to the gardens and the box office will be from the Kensington Park Road gate. The gardens are situated between the roads Arundel Gardens and Ladbroke Gardens. Please check in with the box office even if you are a local resident with direct access to the gardens.

The play begins at 7pm sharp. The gardens will be open for you to bring picnics from 5.30pm onwards. There is no bar at this performance so please bring your own drinks. Chairs are provided but unreserved. There will be a brief interval and the play will finish by 9.30pm. If you plan to picnic, please take away all your rubbish and respect the neighbours as you leave.

Please note there are no toilet facilities in the gardens. If you are coming from outside the gardens, you will need to use the toilets at a local pub or the public toilets (gents only) on the corner of Portobello and Talbot Roads. Both are only a few minutes walk from the gardens.

Unobtrusive photography is encouraged. Do share your photographs on social media and tag us.

Our founding sponsor, Domus Nova, will once again be setting up their fabulous picnic area. There’ll be garden games for children to enjoy ahead of the performance and a pop-up diner offering complimentary popcorn, sweets and a limited number of drinks. Enter the Domus Nova raffle here for your chance to win a beautifully curated picnic hamper. The lucky winner will be notified by email before the show. Missed out? Don’t worry — the ultimate Domus Nova hamper is still up for grabs! Head over to the Domus Nova diner to find out how you can enter.
