Reception

Critical Acclaim

‘A fun and wholesome evening. The production breathes a new lease of life into this lesser known play and the whole company makes it an interactive affair.’

– London Theatre Doc

‘Charming; from beginning to end there is not a hair out of place in this production.  Well-crafted costumes and a simple set, and the eight-person strong company is certainly the highlight. It feels like how Shakespeare is meant to be performed.’

– A Young(ish) Perspective

‘A funny, engaging Shakespeare production in a calming outside venue. All the actors were phenomenal and performed excellently, adding humour and some more familiar language to make the play more engaging, relatable and accessible to its London audiences.’

– London Theatre Reviews

‘Full of vigour and vibrancy, filled with such well-spoken verse.  There are broad comic strokes but also moments of true visual grace.’

There Ought To Be Clowns

‘The actors had so much character and I loved how they interacted with us. I look forward to Shakespeare in the Squares every year. It’s a brilliant night out.’

 Rufus (age 12), Norland Square

‘Bold, even groundbreaking.  It’s a blast. A crack ensemble who will surely turn many to Shakespeare – endearing and uplifting’

– Fringe Review

‘Brilliant production, as usual; a heartfelt bravo all round… We had a lovely fun-filled evening.’

– Arundel and Ladbroke Square

‘SO GOOD – a really funny, poignant, enjoyable piece’

–  St Peters Square

‘A fabulous production – brilliant!’

– Charterhouse Square

‘The way the performance is pitched to bring in the whole audience is so clever and charming, yet still allows the language and insights to shine. I smiled for two hours solid!’

– Connaught Square

‘This truly is Shakespeare for all, full of laughter and delight. Wonderful again to see the children out front, cross-legged on the grass, revelling in it. We left beaming.’

– Albert Square

‘Just magnificent – such an enjoyable and rich experience; accolades are pouring in and for captivated children it is perhaps the start of their all-important cultural journey.’

– Kensington Gardens Square

‘The talented and passionate performers give their all to the script and the production as a whole.’

– Broadway World
